Born in Melrose on 4/21/1992 to Joe and Judy DeSimone. She has a younger brother, Nick – plays hockey for Saugus High School. Dad ran cross country. After high school, she plans to attend nursing school & become a nurse anesthetist. Her favorite subject in school is history. Katelyn also plays varsity field hockey. NEC Field Hockey All-Star Team (2008 & 2009); GEMIHL All-Star Team (2008 & 2009); GEMIHL All-Conference Team (2009). Likes to shop and hanging out with friends. Jason Varitek is her favorite athlete.
