CJ was born in Beverly Massachusetts to Joe and Lori Cacciatore. After living in Peabody for a short time he moved back to Beverly and began taking part in both Beverly Youth Hockey and Beverly Little League Baseball. His baseball career came to an end after his sophomore year in high school and he began throwing discus and javelin for the Beverly High Track team his junior year. His brother Dan plays basketball for BHS and his father Joe is a Lynnfield High alumni, lettering in both Baseball and Track and Field.
